Two Spaces, One Vision: A Kitchen & Bathroom Remodel in Central IL
When designing a kitchen and bathroom, the goal isn't just to make the spaces match. It's about choosing details that work beautifully together while making each room more functional for everyday life.
For this kitchen and bathroom remodel in Central IL, we combined warm wood tones, light cabinetry, elegant gold finishes, and smart storage solutions to create two spaces with their own personalities and a cohesive feel throughout the home.
A Kitchen That Balances Light and Warmth
One of our favorite details in this kitchen is the contrast between the cabinetry finishes. The perimeter features Marquis cabinetry in Frost, keeping the space bright and inviting, while the island features Marquis Beech in Brown Sepia, adding warmth and character.
The island isn't just a beautiful focal point. It also offers plenty of storage, comfortable seating, and a built-in wine rack that makes great use of the available space.
Eni Carrara Lucre countertops bring the two cabinet finishes together, while Top Knobs hardware in Honey Bronze add the finishing touch.
At the sink, a Brizo faucet in Luxe Gold pairs beautifully with the Elkay workstation sink, creating a functional space for meal prep and cleanup.
For homeowners exploring kitchen remodeling in Springfield, IL, and surrounding communities, this project is a great example of how contrasting finishes and thoughtful features can make a kitchen have depth and feel truly personalized.
A Bathroom Designed for Everyday Comfort
The bathroom continues the home's warm, inviting feel with Marquis Birch cabinetry in Driftwood, light Eni Carrara Lucre countertops, and Top Knobs hardware in Honey Bronze.
We love how the natural wood tones complement the soft gray tile and Delta fixtures in Champagne Bronze, creating a space that feels polished without being overly formal.
The vanity also features a dedicated seated area, making everyday routines a little more comfortable. But what really makes this bathroom stand out is what's hidden inside the cabinetry!
Smart Bathroom Storage That Makes a Difference
Sometimes, it's the little details that make the biggest impact. This bathroom includes several clever storage solutions designed to keep everything organized and within reach.
A pull-out laundry hamper keeps dirty clothes tucked away instead of taking up valuable floor space. There's also a pull-out styling station with built-in electrical access, giving curling irons, hair dryers, and other styling tools their own designated space without cluttering the countertop.
Tall cabinetry with open shelving provides a convenient spot for towels, while enclosed cabinets keep other essentials out of sight. They can make getting ready and keeping things organized easier every day.
A Walk-In Shower with Spa-Inspired Details
Another standout feature is the beautiful walk-in shower, complete with a glass enclosure, large-format gray tile, and a textured tile accent that adds just the right amount of detail.
A recessed shelf keeps shower essentials close by, while a built-in corner bench adds comfort and convenience.
The Delta Champagne Bronze shower fixtures, including a rainfall-style showerhead and handheld option, bring warmth to the neutral tile and complete the spa-inspired feel.
Paired with the Driftwood cabinetry and coordinating gold accents, the shower helps make this bathroom feel like a relaxing retreat.
For homeowners considering bathroom remodeling or walk-in shower installation in Springfield, IL, this project offers plenty of inspiration for combining style with everyday functionality.
Two Spaces, One Cohesive Design
What we love most about this project is how the kitchen and bathroom complement each other without looking identical. And beyond the beautiful finishes, both spaces were designed with everyday life in mind. From the kitchen's built-in wine storage and workstation sink to the bathroom's hidden laundry hamper and styling station, every detail has a purpose.
It's a great reminder that thoughtful design isn't just about how a space looks. It's about how well it works for you.
